Панкреатит

Панкреатит классифицируют на острый и хронический. Острый панкреатит представляет собой воспаление, которое проявляется как клинически, так и морфологически. Хронический панкреатит характеризуется гистологическими изменениями, которые являются необратимыми и прогрессирующими, приводящими к значительной потере экзокринной и эндокринной функций поджелудочной железы. У пациентов с хроническим панкреатитом могут наблюдаться рецидивы острого процесса.

Панкреатит может влиять на экзокринную и эндокринную функции поджелудочной железы. Панкреатические клетки секретируют бикарбонат и пищеварительные ферменты в протоки, которые соединяют поджелудочную железу с двенадцатиперстной кишкой в ампуле Фатери (экзокринная функция). Панкреатические бета-клетки секретируют инсулин непосредственно в кровоток (эндокринная функция).
